An individual learns how to pray more effectively through coming to know and obey the God of the Word as found in the Word of God. Some people have courage to pray even aloud in groups, but their prayers lack the depth of truth that resonates with God’s Word. Many prayers are primarily self-centered on real needs within one’s family or challenges they struggle with. Those are fine and acceptable prayers, yet believers should not neglect to pray she might walk consistent with the Word of God, in order to honor the Lord. Specifically, this might mean requesting the Lord’s and Holy Spirit’s help to motivate her toward maintaining an obedient faith walk. Moreover, trying to live a Christian life that may always be searching for ways to serve the Lord and others, inasmuch as she endeavors to go about doing good (Acts 10:38).
